Job Overview:
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Care Workers. As a Direct Care Worker, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in need, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, or requiring hospice and memory care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication reminders
- Provide direct support and companionship to individuals under your care
- Implement care plans and ensure the well-being and safety of clients
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and activities
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as nurses, to deliver comprehensive care
- Adhere to medical terminology and HIPAA regulations in all interactions
Experience:
- Prior experience in direct patient care or related fields is preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, hospice care, memory care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus
- Familiarity with medical terminology and understanding of HIPAA guidelines
- Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
