Duties
Major Duties
Physical Effort
Moderate physical effort may be required in making couplings between the vehicle and towed equipment. Considerable physical effort may be required in backing of vehicles, to change tires, and make limited emergency repairs.
Required to frequently lift items weighing over 50 pounds. Work also involves climbing of ladders, scaffolding, and working in and around power tools and equipment.
Working Conditions
Operates vehicles in all types of traffic and weather on public roads and is exposed to the danger of serious accidents.
Incumbent is required to work outside and is exposed to extreme hot and cold temperatures.
Air Quality
During the summer when temperatures soar, air quality may be poor. Please use caution. During the fall and winter months, air quality is generally good.
Average Weather
Days are typically clear with less than 25% humidity. Temperatures are most comfortable in the spring and fall, with an average high around 85 F (29 C) and average lows around 50 F (10 C) respectively.
Winter brings cooler days, around 60 F (15 C), and freezing nights. It occasionally snows at higher elevations. Summers are hot, over 100 F (38 C) during the day and not cooling much below 75 F (24 C) at night.

Conditions of Employment
You will be required to submit a Motor Vehicle Operator's License and Driving Record. You must also submit (within a State sealed envelope or submitted directly by the State authorities), and at your own expense, all certified driving records from all States that disclose all valid driver's licenses, whether current or past, possessed by you.

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors :

Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (related to mobile equipment operation)
