Applicants must either have access to the USMC base in 29 Palms, CA or be willing to apply for it. Most of our classes are held on base at the MCCS Community Center Gym, Building 1004, Cottontail Rd., Twentynine Palms, CA 92277.

FLSA Status: Non-exempt (hourly), Part-time

Must be 18 years of age.

Multiple physical demands including, but not limited to kneeling, standing, walking, sitting, lifting/spotting children (min 25lbs,) stooping, pulling, moving gymnastics equipment, setting up stations, ability to talk, supervise students, and maintain safety awareness.

Ability to exercise good judgment, flexibility, creativity, and sensitivity in response to changing situations and needs.

- Plan and deliver engaging instruction in classes.

- Teach fundamental skills and techniques for the sport you are coaching.

- Instruct students to ensure safety protocols are followed.

- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of participants.

- Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to improve performance.

- Incorporate fun and interactive activities to enhance the learning experience.

- Previous experience is not required but helps in sports coaching, preferably in gymnastics, martial arts, cheerleading, or ballet disciplines.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to manage behavior effectively, especially in childcare or educational settings.

Special Requirements: including but not limited to obtaining necessary online training, on-site training and being able to pass local, and federal background check (s) to work with children. FCRA.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 15 per week
