We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to complete our team in a high volume and fast-paced environment. The Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist plays a critical role in the Accounting Department by managing the accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, receipt of payments, and reconciliation of accounts. They are responsible for maintaining positive relationships with customers while effectively resolving payment discrepancies and issues. The AR Specialist also collaborates closely with other departments, including Sales, Customer Service, and Accounting, to streamline processes and improve cash flow. This is a Full-Time, Non-Remote position.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a customer-focused approach to accurately apply payments to customer accounts and invoices within the ERP accounting system.
• Review, prioritize, and manage A/R Aging to optimize collection efforts, including issuing statements, invoice reprints, credit, and debit notes, as needed.
• Ensure adherence to billing and collection procedures, maintaining compliance with established policies and requirements.
• Reconcile customers' accounts and proficiently apply cash receipts and credit notes.
• Communicate effectively with customers via email and phone, demonstrating tact and discretion.

Skills

1. Experience:

• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Accounts Receivable.
• Proven expertise in collections, credit card processing, and invoicing within an ERP accounting environment.
• Previous experience in cash application or similar finance-related roles.

2. Analytical Skills:

• Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficient in reconciling complex payment transactions to ensure accuracy.

3. Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to contact customers via email and phone with tact and discretion.
• Accurate application of payments to customer accounts and invoices in the accounting system.

4. Collection Management:

• Run, review, and prioritize A/R Aging to optimize collection efforts.
• Provide customers with statements, invoice reprints, credit, and debit notes as needed.

5. Knowledge:

• In-depth knowledge of billing and collection procedures.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and requirements.

6. Reconciliation and Collaboration:

• Proficient in reconciling customers' accounts and applying cash receipts and credit notes.
• Collaborate effectively with other departments to resolve customer issues.

7. Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.

8. Problem Solving and Multitasking:

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
• Effective multitasking capabilities to handle various responsibilities simultaneously.

9. Confidentiality:

• Discreet handling of confidential information.

10. Independence:

• Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail.
