We are in search of a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced QA Manager to join our team. This role is integral to ensuring the quality and safety of our food products, with a specific focus on dairy. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our quality assurance program, from the processing stage through to the finished product. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers the opportunity to play a key role in our company's commitment to producing high-quality food products.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the company's quality assurance program, ensuring compliance with all relevant food safety and quality standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of the QA team, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes and facilities, identifying any areas of non-compliance or potential risk.
  • Work closely with production and operations teams to implement corrective actions and improvements in response to QA findings.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the understanding and application of quality assurance principles across the organization.
  • Review and approve quality and food safety documentation, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the quality assurance program, reporting on key metrics to management.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in food safety and quality assurance, incorporating best practices into our QA program.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing methods, process improvement programs, and standard operating procedures.
  • HACCP, SQF, ISO and GFSI Certifications and/or expertise.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality assurance role within the food processing industry, with specific experience in dairy.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and quality assurance principles, standards, and practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues proactively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as MS Office and QA management systems.
