Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Director to oversee our food service operations. As the Food Service Director, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our food service departments at Song and Labrador Mountain, including menu planning, food preparation, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs and preferences of our customers
- Oversee food preparation and ensure that all meals are prepared in accordance with food safety regulations
- Manage inventory and order necessary supplies to maintain adequate stock levels
- Train and supervise staff members to ensure they adhere to proper food handling and safety procedures
- Monitor customer satisfaction and address any concerns or complaints promptly
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate catering services for special events or functions
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in food service management
Requirements:
- Proven experience in food service management, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage a team and delegate tasks accordingly
- Culinary background or experience is highly desirable
- Familiarity with banquet or event planning is a plus
- Proficient in kitchen management and inventory control
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
