The Encompass Group is collaborating with a leading hospitality group to find a talented Hotel General Manager to supervise the daily operations of one of their hotels.
Responsibilities:
- Manage hotel staff and create a positive work environment
- Previous Department managerial experience
- Handle human resources duties such as hiring, training, and scheduling
- Strong financial knowledge and computer skills, to include Excel, required
- Oversee guest services and resolve any issues promptly
- Certification preferred: Senior manager and/or other certification as required by franchise
- Implement revenue management strategies to maximize profits
Skills:
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly, both oral and written
- Experience in hotel management operations and background in guest services
- Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding and clarifying concerns and issues raised by team members and guests
- Must be able to prioritize departmental functions to meet due dates and deadlines
