Canary Systems is an electronic hardware and software engineering firm specializing in mining and civil engineering-related monitoring and instrumentation applications. Projects include monitoring of open-pit and underground mines, earth and concrete dams, bridges, tunnels, and buildings. We operate in several markets including construction, mining, geotechnical, industrial, and public infrastructure.

Project Managers are responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of projects across a core group of sites while cultivating client relationships and identifying additional opportunities. Project Managers report directly to the Mine Group Manager. Candidates must be located in or near Tucson, AZ. 

Responsibilities Include:

• Visit clients and explore/develop opportunities
• Manage client relations and experience
• Develop project proposals, specifications, and designs
• Prepare project documentation
• Coordinate implementation services as needed
• Coordinate support services as needed
• Coordinate training services as needed
• Prepare project/case histories for marketing & sales
• Present project/case histories at conferences/client meetings

Expertise Desired:

• Project Management and Agile methodology
• Geotechnical data reduction and presentation methods
• Geotechnical instrumentation applications and installation
• Monitoring systems including electronics and software
• Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
• Survey technologies including robotics and GPS
• Scripting and database technologies such as Python, SQL, PostgreSQL and SQL Server
