Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in a lab science
- Ability to understand experimental purposes and experiment design
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Capable of lifting 50lbs and moving raw material drums up to 500lbs
- Previous experience in mixing, batching, or compounding following written directions
- Proficiency in algebraic math and understanding Metric and Imperial systems
- Proficient in MS Office
- History of safe work practices with high attention to detail
- Raw Material Management
- Confirm identities, weights, and lot numbers of raw materials in each batch
- Conduct equipment inspections on tanks, agitators, motors, pumps, and fillers
- Batch Production
- Follow manufacturing instructions for batch production
- Record steps taken during production
- Conduct quality testing on finished products
- Laboratory Tasks
- Perform required testing on pH, viscosity, specific gravity, etc.
- Calibrate pH meters and scales daily
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the working environment
- Additional Responsibilities
- Cross-train in various tasks within the plant
- Conduct laboratory housekeeping duties
- Monitor and maintain chemical and laboratory supplies
- Execute experiments based on instructions with minimal supervision
