Overview:

We are a small local remodel contractor seeking a reliable and hardworking skilled laborer to join our team. As a skilled laborer, you will be responsible for performing various physical tasks to assist in the completion of construction projects. This is a seasonal position expected to run from around May to around the end of October, but this is weather and work load dependent.

The summer months tend to be largely deck work, including ground up builds, repairs, railings, stairs, etc. We also complete siding repairs, window installations, deck staining, and various other exterior projects.

While we largely focus on exterior work, there may be times where we work on interior projects as well. Knowledge of drywall work and a basic understanding of plumbing and electrical is preferred.

Examples of Responsibilities:

- Assist with the setup and cleanup of construction sites

- Load and unload materials and equipment

- Operate hand and power tools as needed

- Deck framing

- Railing installations

- Concrete form building

- Hand excavating

- General carpentry

- Mix concrete and mortar

- Perform general maintenance tasks on tools and equipment

- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required

- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks

- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

- Knowledge of hand and power tools and safer operation

- Ability to work well in a team environment

- Excellent communication skills

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
