Carrier Great Lakes is Hiring a Counter Sales Near Traverse, MI

Job Responsibilities:

  • Fulfilling general duties, including but not limited to, showroom sales, phone sales,order entry, price quotations, loading/unloading trucks, shipping and receiving of parts and equipment, stocking of products in the showroom and warehouse.
  • Promoting sales of HVAC replacement components and aftermarket products to dealer network and mechanical contractors.
  • Working closely with CGL departments and outside vendors.
  • Making local deliveries operating a 26’ box truck
  • Operate a forklift
  • Maintaining accurate inventory and conducts inventory actions
  • Utilizing positive communication skills.
  • Providing superior customer service to our customers.
  • Fostering a productive work relationship with parts branch manager and counter sales associates
  • Adhering to appropriate safety standards and collecting necessary data to comply with DOT regulations

Requirements:**

  • 2 years in HVAC industry.
  • Experience in MS Office, especially Word and Excel
  • Good driving record
  • Chauffer driver’s license
  • DOT medical certification
  • Forklift certification
  • Able to lift 70 pounds
  • 2-3 years of warehouse/driving experience
  • Self-motivated with organizational skills

Preferred Skills:**

  • Experience working with contractors and dealers, especially in the residential and/or commercial HVAC industry.
  • Knowledge of a distribution environment with counter experience.
  • Ability to work with Infor SX, SAP, and other ERP business systems.
  • Inventory and shipping/receiving experience

Qualifications:**

  • High school diploma or equivalent
