Summary of Role/Position
CarParts.com, Inc i s providing Data Scientist Internship opportunity for the current student pursuing Masters or PhD in Data Analytics or Data Science. The candidate must have strong knowledge in data analysis, statistical analysis, coding, and model experimentation with ability to drive business with the data-generated insights. The ideal intern has a deep interest in supply chain, pricing, business strategy, and consumer behavior and must be comfortable presenting insightful analysis and reporting .
Day-to-day responsibilities

• Be responsible for analyzing sales and shipping data
• Investigate and identify potential areas to improve freight and supply chain planning
• Automate dashboards and reports for recurring tasks
• Monitor and track new developments and deployments
• Find discrepancies in the system and suggest solutions
• Develop analytic dashboards and automated solutions.
• Communicate complex analysis in a clean & simple way to multiple stakeholders .

Minimal Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Currently studying in Master or Phd degree in Business Analytics or Data Science program
• Experience in Python, specifically Pandas, NumPy, and Data Visualization libraries
• Familiarity with building Dashboards ( Tableau , PowerBI )
• Experience working with SQL
• Experience with Microsoft Excel
• Attention to details and ability to think out of the box
• Great written and verbal communication skills
• Eager to learn and explore new tools and technologies
• Ability to work effectively as a team member or individually

Preferred Experience

• Previous Data Analytic s working experience
• Prior experience with freight and logistic analysis and supply chain planning

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this position based on job experience, education level, global geographic region, etc: $35-$42/hour
