Program ManagerObjectives of the position (description of the areas of responsibility)The holder of the position is to perform his/her duties in such a way that all the tasks arising in his/her field are completed accurately, on time, promptly and cost-effectively and so that the company can react flexibly and cost-effectively to the needs of the internal and external customers. He/she represents the company as its link to the market and presents a positive corporate image.The Program Manager is responsible for ensuring that all applicable regulations, laws, and internal procedural guidelines and standards are always complied with and that the specified budget, material guidelines, and schedules are observed. He/she informs the areas of the company affected by the projects about the objectives and the individual tasks that need to be completed. In this context, he/she also takes on the management and supervision of the project team assigned to particular projects. In addition, the Program Manager ensures that his/her manager is informed about the development status of current projects and of any exceptional incidents in his/her field at all times. He/she makes sure that the confidentiality of internal and external data and company secrets is guaranteed at all times. In internal dialogue, the Program Manager creates a positive working environment between the individual departments and considers him/herself a key person with regard to the success of the company as a whole.Sole responsibility/tasks to be performed directly by the holder of the position.Responsible management of the economic, qualitative, and timely success of your projectDefinition and description of all the necessary work packages and milestones (project planning, scheduling, and Program tracker)Main point of contact for customers, suppliers, and colleagues for all project-related issuesInterdepartmental coordination and supervision of the project including ensuring all customer requirements are met.Regular participation in design discussions, project team meetings, cost negotiations, and installation tests at customers’ and suppliers’ premisesSupporting the sales department with tender preparation and calculation (specifying machinery and parameters, calculating the cost of assembly/test procedures)Definition, coordination, and support of development and change processes internally and externally, from conceptual planning to change management and through to the presentation of the finished components.Testing projects for economic viability in the preliminary stages of an implementation decisionMaking appointments and carrying out monitoring in the event of tool changes and in the outsourcing of custom molding contracts when required and approved.Design and specification of injection molds and equipment (assembly and testing devices)Supporting the manufacturing department in the industrialization of projectsFinding and suggesting new sources of supply to guarantee material supply as required for the project.Taking business trips to visit customers and suppliers.Providing guidelines and documentation for the specific projectPlanning the system-wide definition, supervision, and execution of project tasksSetting priorities and assigning responsibilities within the current projectAwarding contracts to subcontractors in connection with the project being managed and according to the contractual details when agreed and approved.Setting up procedures in the event of technical problems and deviations from the normal caseInforming his/her manager and all other relevant parties about project milestones he/she can see will not be met and any other problems which have arisen or will arise.Monitoring the project schedule and respecting the given parameters and budgets of the projects being managedPreparing specifications, feasibility studies, status reports etc., and other customer-specific documentation and computer entriesDefinition and supervision of logistical processes in the projectSupporting the pilot and series production, and supporting the manufacturing department with technical expertiseOther main tasks:Inform and consult with his/her manager so that he/she is in the position to plan and make timely and appropriate decisions about investment in replacement and new equipment, taking into account all relevant factors.Inform and consult with his/her manager so that he/she can make decisions about introducing new processes, materials and technologies.Support in the preparation of and assistance with internal and external auditsMeeting the defined quality standards and quality features in the execution of the current project in accordance with the QM systemCarrying out and evaluating analysesControlling any delivery notes and invoices for accuracy during launchEnsuring compliance with safety, accident prevention, and environmental protection regulations in connection with the execution of the projectStructuring cooperation with other departments within the company in such a way that the flow of information runs smoothly at all times and that good cooperation is guaranteed in general.Participation in the continual improvement of the overall operationImplementation of the Nifco quality guidelinesSupport in the implementation of the defined 5s standardsParticipation in production meetings, meetings with the head of the department, and on all development issuesEnsuring the protection of company secrets and the confidentiality of data that is not generally accessible.Support in drawing up long- and medium-term concepts from the field of project management and development.Informing his/her manager about the status of individual projects and any critical deviations from the guidelinesAlways ensuring a smooth flow of information in the overall operation.Constant refinement of methods and instruments in project management.Requirements:At least 5 years of work experience in automotive or manufacturingSolid experience working closely with German OEM’sKnowledge of plastic injection molding is a plusKnowledge of tooling technologyKnowledge of business economicsWorking knowledge of MS Office skills, Teams, familiarity with utilizing customer portals to report project progressEffective communication skills – both verbal and writtenEngineering degree, advanced education as a technician or comparable education preferred.Several years of professional experience in project management and preferably in technical sales.Several years of professional experience in a comparable position preferred.Professional experience in the respective business unit is a plus.Job
