Job Summary:

We're seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to manage and maintain our organization's server infrastructure. As a Systems Administrator, you'll ensure our servers are secure, reliable, and optimized to meet our computing needs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, including web, email, file, and database servers
  • Plan and implement server backups and disaster recovery procedures
  • Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize capacity utilization
  • Configure and manage server security settings, including firewall rules and access control lists
  • Perform regular system updates, patch management, and maintenance procedures
  • Create and manage user accounts, groups, and permissions
  • Monitor network traffic, performance, and storage devices
  • Generate reports on server activity and performance
  • Automate and script tasks, and administer Windows domains and Active Directory
  • Evaluate software and Windows configuration requirements and provide technical recommendations
  • Develop and implement security baselines, maintenance procedures, and standard operating procedures
  • Provide risk analysis and recommendations for vulnerabilities, incidents, and change requests

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, computer engineering, or a related field (equivalent experience and certifications considered)
  • Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Preferred Certifications:
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • VMware Certified Advanced Professional - Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV 2020 or newer) (required upon hire)
  • VMware Certified Design Expert - Data Center Virtualization (VCDX-DCV 2020 or newer) (strongly preferred)
  • Training or professional experience and/or certifications in other Microsoft Server products, Dell, EMC (strongly preferred)
