Your New Role:

The Maintenance Tech 1 is responsible for supporting the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor for ongoing facilities, equipment, and minor IT maintenance tasks within the Bravo Fit/Planet Fitness franchise. This would include clubs in the Portland Metro and Salem, Oregon areas primarily. It may include occasional over the phone support for clubs in Southern Oregon, Central Oregon, and Alaska, plus occasional travel to Oregon clubs outside the Portland Metro and Salem areas.

Your Contributions:

• Simple facilities maintenance tasks would be: painting, cosmetic repairs, minor plumbing, light bulb and battery changes, locker door replacement, etc.
• Simple maintenance to fitness equipment would be: tanning bulb changes, pad replacement (seats and pads on equipment that wear out), hydro massage machine maintenance etc.
• Transporting material, equipment or supplies between clubs and/or corporate office (with personal vehicle).
• Operate a laptop, computer and smartphone for the purposes of tracking maintenance work orders, and submitting time and action records.
• Be able to troubleshoot the following onsite examples for contract IT service provider: computers, printers cameras, TVs and speakers
• Communicate and interact with club staff and leadership teams on an ongoing basis.
• New club construction and club remodel support as needed.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full time position with days and hours of work generally being Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Some weekends or evening hours may be necessary in emergency situations.

Education:

• High School Diploma, GED, military, or other Professional Certication program

Experience:

• More than one year of continuous work experience with one company where you had some autonomy to manage your own time and tasks.
• Experience using basic power and hand tools, and ladders etc., even if not in a work setting (work setting preferred)
• Experience and comfort working with computers, tablets, and mobile phones, even if not in a work setting (work setting preferred).

• 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license with an acceptabel motor vehicle record per company policy
• Must have a reliable personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement at standard IRS rates).
