Large Oregon based construction materials testing laboratory has an opening at our Tigard branch for a friendly full-time Dispatcher. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of office experience to include intermediate level Word and Excel. Candidate should also be experienced in answering multiple phone lines have the ability to 10-key and be able to type at least 50 wpm.

We are looking for someone who is energetic, highly organized, detailed oriented, and able to multi task in an extremely fast paced, and often stressful, environment. Has the ability to switch from one task to another and prioritize effectively with a friendly, professional phone demeanor. Must enjoy working with others as a team within a casual/professional office.

Description/Duties:

Take phone calls from contractors/clients and input information into a computer dispatch system. Assign personnel with required capabilities, training and certifications to customer requests. Dispatch trained personnel to field sites in cooperation with the branch manager, dispatch manager and project managers. Testing/inspection service instructions will be dispatched by written, verbal or electronic means.

• Have the ability to handle many different personalities
• Be comfortable working with MS Office 2010 and learning a new database.
• Know the Portland Metro area
• Be able to handle a phone volume of 100 calls a day
• Type 50wpm
