Masonite is Hiring a Press Crew Near Thorp, WI
Description of Job:Sets up and operates hot press and glue roller applicator. Lays up faces, core and backs to make plywood. Watches grade and quality to ensure components meet specifications. Watches for jam ups and machine malfunctions. Performs cleanup of glue rollers, lay up tables and hot press.
Requirements:
- Read/interpret job order and customer specifications
- Knowledge of plywood construction, including components
- Perform multiple visual checks of the product
- Must master manipulation of sheets to prevent damage/rework
- High attention to detail and fast paced
- Knowledge of species, cuts and matches preferred
- Read a tape measure, use a moisture meter and calipers
- Frequent team lifting of up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for 10 hours
- Frequent repetitive lifting, twisting, bending, reaching, grasping and pushing
