Cost Accountant
4 day work week

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Accountant to join our growing team. This role is crucial as we expand and secure new large contracts. The ideal candidate will have experience in standard costing, strong proficiency in Excel, and a working knowledge of Power BI. Experience with implementing cost accounting processes from scratch is highly desirable.

This is a hybrid role with a 4-day workweek, requiring 2 days in the office each week.
Salary: $110,000 annually

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents, and records.
• Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings.
• Collect and analyze data about the company's operational costs.
• Set standard costs of manufactured goods.
• Develop and monitor annual budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost forecasts.
• Conduct variance analysis between standard and actual costs.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of cost accounting experience.
• Proven experience in standard costing.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with Power BI or similar data analysis tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred:

• Experience in implementing cost accounting systems from scratch.
• Familiarity with the food manufacturing industry.

Location:Gonzales, TX (Hybrid, 2 days in-office per week)
