Arkansas Talent Group seeks an experienced Controller in the service or construction related industries to oversee all financial operations, and accounting functions, and lead the accounting team (5-8 individuals) for our client. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong background in forecasting, budgeting, month-end closing processes, and staff management.

ResponsibilitiesAccounting and Month-End Close
- Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
- Maintain a comprehensive set of controls and accounting procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Coordinate and oversee tax filings
- Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and knowledge
- Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and best practices
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, but not required
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a controller or senior accounting role, preferably in the service or construction industry
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in QuickBooks Online
- Well versed in managing projects and high-volume billing
