Description 

This role is responsible for accurate preparation, analysis, review, and processing of financial information using accounting principles and in adherence with the Company’s quality, process, and business standards.  

Responsibilities 

• The primary responsibility of this role is the application of accounting principles in the timely and accurate completion of assigned financial activities.
• Common duties in support of this responsibility include the preparation and distribution of monthly & quarterly financial statements; assisting with budgeting; reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and fluctuation analysis of income and expense accounts
• coding miscellaneous cash receipts
• entering and reporting Asset Acquisitions
• updating recurring general ledger entries to reflect depreciation, write offs, and accrual changes’ identification and resolution of potential accounting and reporting issues
• maintenance of fixed asset software
• calculation and recording of appropriate depreciation and
  amortization of fixed assets
• reviewing general ledger invoice coding
• selecting checks to be printed weekly;
  preparation of personal property tax returns;
• reviewing tax assessments and ensuring all personal property
  taxes are paid
• assisting in the preparation of year-end reporting for lenders preparation of monthly reports to send to the bank
• recording of project closings and LOC billing; and approval of credit card and expense reports

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business. Or an equivalent level of education and experience. 
• CPA designation preferred
• Proficiency with Excel required.
• Conduct themselves with a high level of integrity.
  Organized and can manage deadlines.
• Enjoys working in a team environment but can also work autonomously when needed.
• Self-starter and is motivated to perform at a high level.
• Analytical ability and demonstrates problem-solving skills 

Job involves sitting most of the time; occasionally lifting up to 10 pounds. The duties of the job require the frequent use of hand and fingers to type, reach, grasp, and handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The job frequently requires the use of a computer and monitor. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The job may occasionally require both short and long-term travel by a variety of conveyances. Work may occasionally be required at construction work sites, office locations and/or off-site venues. This may require walking on uneven surfaces, through mud, through ruts, etc. It may also include exposure to dust, fumes, and heavy machinery.
