Provides prompt, efficient and professional pre-hospital emergency care and transport within the paramedics scope of training. Provides basic transports, which may be emergency, or non-emergency, including inter-facility transports.
Education
High school diploma or equivalency. Completion of an accredited paramedic program.
Licensure/Certification
Must have current certification as a Paramedic in the State of Indiana and be a National Registry Paramedic. Must maintain training in ACLS, PALS, BLS. Must provide copies of licensure/certification for personnel records including renewals.
Experience
Experience is preferred. Job-specific training is provided through a preceptorship program of a minimum of 80 hours, or longer at the discretion of the Emergency Medical Services Director.
