Travel Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (Day Shift)

Preferred Certifications: CEN, TNCC, ENPC
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Room (ER) team for a travel opportunity in Teaneck, New Jersey. This position offers day shifts for a 13-week duration, starting on March 11, 2024.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency room setting.
- Assess patients' condition rapidly and accurately.
- Administer medication and treatments according to physician orders.
- Assist physicians during procedures and treatments.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and progress.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about their condition and treatment plans.
Requirements:
- Valid RN license in the state of New Jersey.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
- Preferably hold additional certifications such as CEN, TNCC, or ENPC.
- Demonstrated experience in adult and pediatric emergency room settings.
- Proficiency in using medical equipment including IV pumps, glucometer, blood warmer, therapeutic hypothermia devices, vents, and BiPAP machines.
- Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:6-8 while ensuring quality care and patient safety.
- Familiarity with electronic charting systems; experience with the Phoenix system is a plus, but training will be provided.
