Retail Sales Associate Job Description

Retail Sales Associate Responsibilities

• Greet customers when they walk through the door
• Ask customers what they are looking for
• Build rapport through conversation and honest recommendations
• Ring up sales
• Up-sell extra items when appropriate, such as coordinating kitchenware and accessories

Retail Sales Associate Skills

• 2 years’ retail sales experience preferred
• High school diploma/GED required
• High-energy, friendly personality
• Capable of interpreting customers’ words and showing them products that meet their needs
• Basic addition, subtraction and calculator skills
• Computer skills necessary: point of sale software experience also required
• A good attitude and willingness to learn

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
