Technical Writer (Hybrid) – Tampa, FL

Engenium is supporting our client’s growth and hiring for a Technical Writer who will research, write, and edit technical publications and user documentation. Ensure all deliverables, including operation and maintenance manuals, preventive maintenance systems, instructor handbooks, and commercial manuals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce technical manuals, procedures, operator guides and training documents.

• Oversee projects from inception to publication, coordinating with product development teams to ensure accuracy.

• Analyze and integrate technology, operating procedures, and production details using drawings, specifications, and product samples.

• Suggest updates to published materials.

• Choose and create illustrations to enhance documentation.

• Communicate contract compliance strategies in meetings.

• Organize and compile manuals for customer submission.

• Provide logistics support for maintainability and reliability analysis.

• Collaborate with logistics counterparts to manage expectations and mitigate project risks.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in MS Office, Visio, HTML, Adobe Acrobat, and technical writing principles.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Writing, English, or Engineering.

US citizenship, ability to pass a background check, obtain a DoD security clearance, travel to installation sites, and pass pre-employment/random drug tests.

Preferred:

Familiarity with Arbortext.

Work Environment:

Hybrid role with primary work in an office environment, occasional work in manufacturing areas, and travel as needed. Requires teamwork, attention to detail, and adherence to deadlines.
