JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Production Planner
Base: Tallassee, AL 36078
Main Responsibilities
Responsible for planning and coordinating all aspects of production working closely with the Engineering, Purchasing and Logistics teams to ensure production efficiency is maximised whilst adhering to the customer requirements in terms of availability and quality, always meeting customer expectations.
Key Tasks:
Liaise with Engineering and the Manufacturing Manager to determine workload.
Generate, maintain and review production schedules ensuring sufficient materials and capacity are available for both short and long-term orders with copies issued to relevant departments.
Work with procurement to ensure materials procured and purchased, always ensuring material levels are maintained to achieve production plan.
In conjunction with the commercial team ensure orders are raised correctly to generate the correct requirements from the MRP/ERP system.
Track work in progress and finished goods stock levels.
Ensure all relevant parties are fully updated of production status and that work planning is fully integrated and communicated.
Inform the Manufacturing Manager of any shortages in capacity and work in order to format an action plan.
Produce KPI reports and other metrics based on delivery of planning performance.
Plan and produce production and material shortage reports.
Set and continually monitor KPIs and targets to ensure the planning performance delivery is achieved.
Work with a continuous improvement ethic, looking to minimise waste and increase efficiency wherever possible.

Key skills and experience:
Experience in the composites/aerospace sector.
Good understanding of MRP/ERP systems.
Excellent computer skills, demonstrable skills with the Microsoft office suite especially Excel.
Ability to work well under pressure and achieve deadlines with minimal supervision.
Self-motivated team player.
Excellent attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills.
Working Hours Mon - Fri 7.15am - 4.00pm. 40 Hours per week.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
