Airco Service is currently looking for a dedicated and qualified individual to join our accounting department. This position is responsible for the accurate financial reporting of payroll data for hourly employees and the semi-monthly reporting of payroll data for salary employees. An understanding of accrual-based accounting is required. This position is not remote or hybrid, so reliable and regular office attendance is required.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post weekly payroll journal entries and perform variance analysis.
• Maintain fixed assets and prepaid schedules.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of the monthly intercompany billing and work with the Manager of Corporate Accounting and Consolidations on monthly reconciliation of accounts.
• Assist with month-end close and year end close process.
• Verify calculations for various business receivables such as utility and vendor rebates and research discrepancies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP function and pivot tables.
• (3) years of payroll GL reconciliation experience.
• (3) years general ledger accounting experience.
• A problem solver able to meet tight deadlines and be a problem solver.
