Jim Click Automotive Team is Hiring a Title Clerk (Business Office) Near Tucson, AZ

Position SummaryThe Title Clerk handles titles – written contracts – for the sale, transfer and purchase of vehicles. Title Clerk will be responsible for handling legal transfer documents for the Department of Motor Vehicles. Records and tracks (manually and on computer) the dealership’s vehicle deals and prepares documents related to the sale. Title preparation, filing, data entry, answering phones / customer service and administrative support.
Essential Job Functions
  • Prepares in an accurate and timely manner a variety of reports with differing lead times and due dates throughout the month.
  • Maintains accurate records of new and used vehicle transactions.
  • Ensures accurate title work is submitted in a timely fashion by preparing payment and documents for title processing and submission to the department of motor vehicles.
  • Reconcile journals and schedules.
  • Accurately prepares tax and title documents.
  • Prepares and reviews refunds due to customers when applicable.
  • Provides title due status and updates to management team weekly.
  • Request duplicate titles and any necessary documentation for traded vehicles.
  • Prepares payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins.
  • Ensures name and address files are updated on an ongoing basis.
  • Performs additional duties requested by Department Supervisor.
Essential Job Requirements
  • Communicate clearly by telephone while simultaneously and accurately recording information being given during the conversation.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented multi-tasker.
  • English reading and math skills at approximately the 12th grade level.
  • Daily attendance which is consistent, regular and timely.
  • Uses computer to prepare documents and reports as required.
  • Works on several assignments simultaneously with accurate results.
  • Reads and accurately records or copies up to “18” alphanumeric series, dollar figures, words, and/or descriptions.
  • Takes direction on future assignments/tasks and follows through in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Works with more than one person and/or task simultaneously, maintaining a cordial and friendly manner at all times without internalizing frustration, anger or pressure.
  • Ability to maintain good employee relations by acting courteously and amicably towards other co-workers.
