Northwest Connecticut YMCA is Hiring a Group Fitness Instructor Near Torrington, CT
Northwestern CT YMCA in Torrington has an opening for an experienced fitness person who is enthusiastic, has a friendly disposition, experience with seniors and a passion for health & wellness.
Requirements:
· Current national fitness certification, especially ZUMBA, is preferred.
· Experience leading group exercise classes for Seniors is a plus.
· Must have an ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
· Must have excellent verbal and communication skills.
· Should have and maintain a current CPR certification.
Job responsibilities:
· Motivate members and provide a safe and properly instructed environment.
· Be a team player with the ability to create a positive, high-energy studio environment.
· Discuss and evaluate the fitness goals of members.
· Connect music and training cues to support a rhythmic cadence and delivery.
This is a part-time position - 2 classes per week
