We are looking for a Test Engineer who will be responsible for testing our custom-designed space robotics products. You will conduct all of the processes necessary to complete the functional and environmental testing including design, assembly, test execution and reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and execute the functional and environmental testing for the space robotics products
• Summarize test results in report and provide feedback to the development team
• Design and implement tools/JIGs, prepare harness that enables our team members to run development tests
• Maintain test facility including maintenance, repairing, and troubleshooting
• Perform structured root cause analysis of in-process failures
• Collaborate with the design team and improve the product
• Communicate with outside personnel when using outside testing facilities

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or other technical field
• 1 years of experience using test instrumentation and control components such as pressure transducers, thermocouples, RTDs, strain gauges, accelerometers, and load cells
• Experience with 3D mechanical CAD and drawing
• Capable of performing detailed work such as mechanical component assembly and soldering
• Physical capacity to independently lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience in space-grade product development or manufacturing
• Experience in operating vacuum chambers
• Experience with Linux OS

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and offsite as needed
• Passion for space exploration and/or robotics
• Startup mentality and grit to embody the adaptability and drive necessary to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to exhibit flexibility and proactivity in task completion, ensuring adaptability to evolving project demands
