  • Routine project management functions such as project scoping and budgeting, budget tracking, project team assembly and supervision, cooperative completion of the work with the project team, and delivery of the finished product.
  • Managing a variety of projects across a mix of practices (such as site investigation and characterization, site remediation, and stormwater management) and for a variety of clients (such as local, county, and state government agencies, real estate developers, and commercial and industrial companies of all sizes).
  • Environmental data management, evaluation, and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC).
  • Mentor junior team members in the areas of technical expertise and quality assurance procedures and provide supervision for field staff during on-site project work.
  • Prepare technical reports and assist with issuing proposals.
  • Procure and manage subcontractors.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and adherence to safe work practices.

What we’re looking for:
  • BS or MS (preferred) in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • 6 to 12 years of solid technical experience, including 2 years of experience with project management, with salary commensurate with experience.
  • Familiarity with a variety of field methods for the collection of soil, groundwater, sediment, soil gas, and ambient air samples.
  • Preference for an Oregon State Licensed Geologist or Engineer, or ability to obtain from comity with other States (significant progress towards licensing will be considered).
  • Understanding and experience working under Federal and State regulatory frameworks (preference for direct experience with Oregon rules).
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite.
  • Excellent technical communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Good safety record and understanding of safe work practices.
