Pay Range: $22/hour - $35/hour, based on experience.

Role Summary:

Eastern Security Services is seeking a qualified individual for a full-time position on our Service Technician team in Syracuse, NY. As a Security Alarm Service Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our high-profile customers by providing excellent customer service to our residential and commercial clientele.

You will be servicing a variety of security systems, including but not limited to: video surveillance, intelligent video verification, burglar and intrusion alarms, access control systems with integrated Photo ID, biometrics, UL listed engineered fire alarm systems, enterprise-wide security solutions, central station monitoring equipment, remote access security management and video intercom systems.

You will be adaptable, driven by technology, and motivated to learn. Our safe work environment includes on-the-job training by seasoned technicians.

Responsibilities:

• Service & troubleshoot wide variety of residential and commercial security & fire alarm systems, access control and video surveillance systems
• Service & troubleshoot commercial and residential UL listed Fire Systems
• Provide technical support to customers including, but not limited to: field programming of alarm panels, remote programming of alarm panels, and troubleshooting of signal issues related to formats and receivers

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Familiarity with electrical low voltage wiring & troubleshooting
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Must maintain a clean, professional image with internal & external customers
• Ability to travel as required (no overnight travel)
• Ability to work overtime as required and participate in on-call schedule after six-months
• Must possess and maintain a clear driver's license and safe driving record
• Previous alarm installation or service experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two (2) year Associates Degree
• 2 years of experience as a service technician or related field.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
• Network certifications
• Knowledgeable in the operation and programming of CCTV systems, including Avigilon or equivalent, and other manufacturers in the industry.
• Knowledgeable in the operation, programming and troubleshooting of Access Control systems, such as Avigilon, S2 or equivalent
