Overview:

Looking for coverage with flexible days. Starting May 24th through July 20th with option to hire for a permanent part time position for right candidate. We are located inside a brand new Target Optical in San Fernando near Sylmar (91342). This is a new location so patient load will be light with competitive pay, $500 weekdays and $600 Saturdays. Duties:

- Perform comprehensive eye examinations, including visual acuity, refraction, binocular vision assessment, and ocular health evaluation

- Diagnose and treat various eye conditions and diseases

- Prescribe and fit corrective lenses, contact lenses, and other vision aids

- Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries

- Educate patients on proper eye care practices and answer any questions or concerns they may have

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Requirements:

- Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited institution

- Valid professional liability insurance

- Valid state license to practice optometry

- Strong knowledge of ocular anatomy, physiology, and diseases

- Proficiency in performing comprehensive eye examinations and diagnosing eye conditions

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

- Experience working with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics and seniors

- Familiarity with medical coding and billing procedures

- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advancements in the field

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $500.00 - $600.00 per day

Expected hours: 40 per week
