Join Our Team: Behaviour Support Practitioner

Part time or Full time hours.

Locations: Campbelltown, Bankstown, Blacktown and Wollongong.

Impact Family Services is a trusted registered NDIS provider, specialising in behaviour support and early childhood intervention for children and adolescents. We provide support in Sydney, Brisbane, and the Gold Coast. Our organisation is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals in the NDIS and Out of Home Care sectors.

Are you a skilled Behaviour Support Practitioner or Allied Health Professional seeking a fulfilling opportunity? Or a new graduate looking for an opportunity to get into the industry?

We are willing to bring on new entry behaviour support practitioners with no experience and support them in learning the role.

Role Overview:

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting functional behaviour assessments.
  • Developing positive behaviour support plans.
  • Training staff and carers in behaviour management strategies.
  • Providing one-on-one support to children or adults.
  • Evaluating and monitoring plan implementation.
  • Addressing barriers to plan implementation.
  • Monitoring the use of restrictive practices.

Note: This role involves traveling to community appointments.

Selection Criteria:

Candidates must possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in an allied health-related field (e.g., occupational therapy, psychology, behavioural sciences).
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to produce high-quality written reports.

Requirements for Subcontractors:

Subcontractors must have:

  • ABN (Australian Business Number), Public Liability, and Indemnity Insurance.
  • Personal laptop and phone.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience supporting individuals with disabilities.
  • Previous experience providing evidence-based behaviour support services in the disability services sector.
  • Understanding of restrictive practice legislation and the authorisation process.

Ability to meet the Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework at the core level or above.
