The team at Lyons Veterinary Hospital is seeking an individual to serve as a member of our Front Desk team, and is open to being cross-trained in other areas. You will work with our doctors and technicians to provide exceptional care to our patients, and be one of the faces of the practice greeting clients when they arrive to the hospital, and answering their questions over the phone.

Reception tasks include:

• Answering phones to schedule appointments, answer questions about the practice or about patient concerns, take messages for the doctors
• Checking clients in and out
• Processing payments
• Having a basic understanding of common veterinary occurrences
• Handling medication refill requests and insurance submissions
• Maintaining a positive attitude and working to support our clients while upholding our practice principles
• Light housekeeping

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
