Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist during surgical procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation in a dental setting.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the surgical team before, during, and after surgery
- Prepare rooms with necessary equipment and instruments
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to aseptic techniques
- Handle medical documentation and records accurately
- Assist in patient assessment, including vital signs monitoring
- Provide support to the surgical team as needed

- Keeping inventory and ordering supplies, as needed

- Keeping track of emergency drugs

- Preparing and shutting down rooms for the weekend, including changing the suction trap

- Sterilizing instruments

- Weekly monitoring of the sterilizers

- Keeping track of lab cases and surgical guides

Experience:
- Proficiency in dental documentation systems (currently using Oryx)
- Familiarity with maintaining dental records
- Experience in dental assisting
- Knowledge of periodontics is a plus
- Understanding of aseptic techniques for infection control
