Major manufacturer of lawn and garden products is seeking an Inventory Manager to coordinate and manage the overall purchasing and receiving functions of the business.Duties include but are not limited to:Research suppliers taking into consideration price, supply chain, location, and other criteria.Selecting the most suitable suppliers in terms of reliability, product quality and pricing.Negotiating contracts with vendorsMaintaining inventory levels to assure materials and packaging are always in stockPerson will be responsible for raw materials, packaging, sundries, and all aspects of materials need to support the businessMaintaining records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and paymentsWork closely with the accounting departmentAuthorize payments and maintain receipts, records, and inventoryScheduling and verifying purchase deliveriesBuilding and maintaining strong, long term supplier relations.Requirements:High school diplomaDegree in business procurement of related field preferred1 to 3 years’ experience as a inventory manager or purchasing agentProficient in inventory management software programsExcellent communication skillsStrong organizational skillsStrong analytical skillsStrong Excel SkillsSalary depends on experience.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceEmployee discountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Suisun City, CA 94585: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Experience:Purchasing: 3 years (Required)
