Silver Falls Hospitality, the current small business operating the Smith Creek Village (located within Silver Falls State Park, OR) is looking for additional servers to host our lodging guests and camp visitors for weekend breakfast service, and weekend lunch shifts, at the Big Leaf Coffeehouse & Grill! (Dinner and catering shifts available, but based on larger contracted group reservations and current staff's availability.)

We are located on 20022 Silver Falls Hwy SE., at the heart of the location formerly known as the Silver Falls Conference Center. We are hiring experienced part-time folks to add to our core team, to expand our current offerings and execute our planned service commitments for the upcoming fall and winter season.

Our ideal candidate is self-driven with a sense of "figure-it-out-ness", is punctual, and consistently reliable-- someone who loves working in an innovative and quickly expanding small business, and who is enthusiastically seeking to join a tight-knit team culture.

Responsibilities

• Setting the table and preparing your section, greeting and seating guests upon their arrival
• Presenting the menu with confidence and knowledge, and helping customers select optimal food options
• Preparing guests' drinks, including but not limited to beer and wine, soft drinks, hot and cold espresso beverages, and all to-go items
• Delivering and expediting food to tables, with ease and confidence (not limited to your own section)
• Refilling beverages, crumbing tables, and clearing dishes as needed (not limited to your own section)
• Bussing used dishes from all tables, in the interior and exteriors of the Coffeehouse & Grill building
• The Big Leaf Coffeehouse & Grill operates without a dishwasher role; all servers and cooks are expected to wash dishes as a team effort
• Delivering a great customer experience from guest greeting to farewell departure.
• Restaurant opening and closing responsibilities, including but not limited to: culinary and BOH dishes, sweeping and mopping kitchen and FOH, securing the building, removal of garbage (must be able to lift 50 pounds),

Qualifications

• 1-3 years minimum experience is required for this role
• Knowledge of Square POS, or similar point of sale systems
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively with a team
• Able to multitask efficiently
• Strong organizational skills
• Attention to detail and self-initiative
