As an Ambulatory Medical Assistant in the Float Pool, you will utilize your medical assisting skills to provide care to patients under the supervision of a physician or nurse. A Medical Assistant in this role is familiar with performing health screenings, collecting specimens, administering medication, updating health records, keeping medical supplies stocked, maintaining examination areas, and monitoring, recording, and communicating patients’ conditions. Medical Assistants also perform a variety of administrative duties, such as appointment scheduling and patient registration, which offers a unique learning opportunity that will expand your skillset.
