Job Summary :

The Administrative Supervisor reports to the Senior Director of Mountain Operations and supervises the Administration Specialist / Assistant and the 5 dispatchers and snow reporters.

The Mtn Ops team includes 5 managers and 8 supervisors and they all rely on this position for administrative direction, support and systems expertise.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive and tenacious problem solver with all financial reporting, payroll reporting and administrative tasks for the department.

The Administrative Supervisor should be a team player who not only assists with training and supporting managers and supervisors with their administrative tasks but also is willing to work with other lateral positions within the resort.

And as business requires to interact with the financial, accounting and procurement corporate office personnel. They may participate in Best Practice Groups within these departmental roles to communicate the needs of the resort and receive feedback and training on upgrades and improvements to corporate software.

Job Specifications :

  • Outlet : Stowe Mountain Resort
  • Shift & Schedule Availability : Year-Round / Full-Time (weekends and holidays as scheduled / required)
  • The budgeted range starts at $52,000- $68,075 Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for providing reports to the Sr Director of Mountain Operations as required / requested to run the department.
  • Responsible for detailed management of departmental finances, budgets, procurement, payroll and reporting on these topics, and others as assigned.
  • Responsible for adhering to and managing the labor budgets for the Ski Area Administration department.
  • Responsible for understanding the labor budgets of all Mountain Operations departments and assisting departments with labor scheduling and reporting.
  • Procurement purchasing, purchase order generation, monthly accrual reports and closeout.
  • Labor payroll management, which includes correcting exceptions, inputting times, tracking / reporting and assisting department managers with workload.
  • Finance annual budget development, monthly tracking, management of budgets, reporting to all departments.
  • Knowledge of capital expenditures. Track capital projects. Be part of the team to submit the annual department capital list.

Once approved provide monthly forecasts, tracking and asset allocation.

  • Dispatch and Snow Reporting Supervision recruiting, hiring, training, mentoring. Flexibility to report to dispatch from 5am-5pm as needed.
  • Departmental equipment inventory such as fleet radios.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements :

  • Education : BA, preferred or relative experience. Financial job experience preferred (AR, AP, G.L.). Or, on the job experience as detailed in resume.
  • 3 years of office administrative experience, with references.
  • Computer Operations : Excellent computer skills with a focus on spreadsheets, with a proven expertise in Microsoft Excel.

Also Word, PowerPoint, Teams.

  • Resort Specific Software : Planful, HR PeopleSoft, COUPA - to name a few
  • Dispatch Specific Application : As developed by the corporate team for the enterprise.
  • Previous supervisory experience : some experience supervising and developing staff.
  • Other : strong organizational skills, attention to detail, multi-tasking, problem-solving skills, communicating and reporting to senior leadership, ability to adapt to a changing environment.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to work under tight deadlines and changing priorities with accuracy, dependability and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in handling sensitive / confidential matters.
  • Ability to work weekends and long shifts as required.

The expected pay range is $52,000 - $68,075. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
