Story City Dental is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Story, IA

Our state of the art facility in Story City Iowa is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our growing team in providing great comprehensive care. We are the only office in Iowa that provides IV deep sedation/General anesthesia in-office, and routinely see patients that require the full scope of dental treatment while they sleep. IV sedation allows us to complete vastly more work in one appointment (20 fills in a 2 hour apt, multiple crowns- milled/baked/seated).

We have two providers with different skill sets that complement each other. One is heavily focused on IV sedation dentistry, dental implant placement, and wisdom teeth removal. The other is focused on cosmetic/restorative dentistry, pediatrics, orthodontics, and sleep dentistry. Both providers routinely work together on large cosmetic cases with the assistance of digital dentistry.

Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license required for this position.

Free training is provided so our dental assistants can help our providers achieve the best care for our patients

  • ACLS certification
  • CEREC same day restorations and dental rehabilitations (digital scanning, mill crowns, process crowns
  • 3D printing training for creating and processing of models for orthodontics, dentures, partials, and smile design
  • EFDA I certification

We are providing an opportunity to gain experience assisting on deeply IV sedated patients and how to assist on various surgical procedures as well as get accustomed to working with non-responsive sedated patients that are having impacted wisdom teeth removed.

Two pay scales are available at our practice: non-IV-sedation days $20-23/hour and IV-Sedation days $30/hour (after successfully passing ACLS).

We are looking for someone with a great attitude, great work ethic, team player, and is eager to grow clinically. There are several opportunities for learning and professional growth at our office. Continuing education and on-site training are provided to help you build your skillset so you and the rest of our team can continue to deliver a high standard of care. We are a family friendly office that values work-life balance and only work Monday through Thursday, no late nights! For more information, send in a resume and cover letter.
