Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and passionate Substitute Teachers to join our team. As a Substitute Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives by providing quality education in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. This is a flexible position that offers the chance to work with students of various ages and backgrounds.
Duties:
- Follow lesson plans provided by the absent teacher and effectively deliver instruction to students.
- Maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Implement classroom management strategies to ensure student behavior is appropriate and conducive to learning.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of students.
- Provide support and guidance to students in their academic and social development.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to ensure continuity of instruction and support for students.
- Complete all necessary administrative tasks, such as taking attendance and reporting any incidents or concerns.
Qualifications:
12 units ECE
- Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of lesson planning, early childhood education, literacy education, childhood development, special education, and preschool curriculum.
- Ability to effectively educate and engage students of different ages and abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Patience, flexibility, and adaptability in working with diverse student populations.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other special needs is a plus.
- Valid teaching certification or substitute teaching permit is preferred.
