Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
- Monitor customer behavior and intervene as necessary to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience
- Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient operation of the bar
- Follow all health and safety regulations
Skills:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting
- Strong sales skills to upsell and promote drink specials
- Knowledge of brewing techniques and different types of alcoholic beverages
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and safety standards
- Proficient in bartending techniques, including mixing cocktails and pouring drinks
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills
- Experience using Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
