This position will provide maintenance and mechanical repair services for operation of the plant and industry to ensure a safe and secure environment at the Minnesota Correctional Facility (MCF)-Stillwater.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Additional RequirementsThe selection process may include screening the top candidate(s) on their criminal history, predatory offender registration, offender associations and/or other applicable background information in accordance with Department of Corrections’ policy. Top candidate(s) must pass a criminal history check which includes successful completion of all sentencing and/or restitution requirements of law enforcement jurisdictions, including probation.
Employment history/reference checks, including incidents of sexual harassment, will also be conducted on the top candidate(s) in accordance with Department of Corrections’ policy. This may include a review of job performance and discipline records.

This position will provide maintenance and mechanical repair services for operation of the plant and industry to ensure a safe and secure environment at the Minnesota Correctional Facility (MCF)-Stillwater.

- Repair and operate mechanical systems and steam conveying equipment and supervise offenders in performing this work. Comply with all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to heating, cooling and mechanical equipment.
- Provide maintenance service in repair and removal of asbestos so that the facility is in compliance with asbestos regulations and standards.
