Job Description:

The Aftermarket Sales Representative is responsible for generating parts and service business from accounts through personal and phone interactions. The representative will develop new accounts, recover lost accounts, and manage established accounts, ensuring a comprehensive approach to customer relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Knowledge & Sales:
  • Learn and proficiently sell all Aftermarket products and offerings, including Parts, Service, Contract Maintenance, technology innovation products, and our comprehensive service offerings (Service Connect and PartsConnect).
  • Sell various Parts product categories and specific Service repair types.
  • Promote and sell “All Makes” Parts and Service beyond proprietary brands.
  • Promote and sell our special market programs.

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Demonstrate competence in systematic selling, which includes pre-call planning, investigating sales opportunities, offering tailored solutions, and closing business sales.
  • Call on Accounts through various mediums, collaborating closely with the Accounts Sales Manager to promote account programs and processes.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive account-specific growth strategies for all products offered.

Account Management:

  • Manage an assigned Book of Business (BOB), which includes 20-50 accounts.
  • Gain literacy and competency to pre-call plan, document sales strategy, and manage all account sales activities.

Education:

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Experience

- Experience in business-to-business sales or within the transportation industry preferred.

Skills & Competencies

- Proficiency in systematic selling techniques and account management.

- Competence in using CRM software.

Other Requirements:

- Must possess a current and valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company’s insurance carrier.
