Daikin Applied Americas is Hiring an Engineering Technician Near Staunton, VA
What you will do:
- Perform production testing activities in accordance with standard procedures, test requirements and the ISO 17025 standard when needed due to hourly employee absences.
- Perform scheduled instrument verification checks and periodic facility maintenance
- Identify and report nonconformities and abnormal testing conditions
- Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are upheld at all times
- Maintain a working knowledge of EH&S safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner
- Maintain effective communication with production and project teams
- Obtain fork truck training/license, scissor lift training/license, or refrigerant handling certifications
- Perform test unit setup according to test procedures and test request requirements
- Create records of testing activities and document them according to production test procedures
- Improve test stand activities on a continuous basis
- Provide support to production test stand operators as needed
