Description

Responsibilities:

1. Provide clinical crisis intervention and stabilization (aggressive behavior, sucidality or homicidality ideation, domestic violence).
2. Assist with assessment of client service needs and diagnostic determination, and establishment of priorities based on treatment plan for the most difficult clients.
3. Case Conferencing with mental health providers to determine goals/objectives, activities and who will perform needed tasks related to mental health issues for client and family as required.
4. Participates as a leader in the agency-wide incident review committee. Helps identify clinical trends through out the agency.
5. Participates as a leader in the agency wide Quality Improvement Council and its subcommittee's as related to the clinical oversight and direction of the agency.
6. Works with staff on difficult clients regarding treatment adherence issues with psychotropic medication and maintaining appointments.
7. Provide clinical supervision to treatment team as needed.
8. Provide staff training and supervision on mental health issues.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Position requires an LMSW, LCSW preferred. One-year experience with clinical supervision is preferred and one-year postgraduate experience working with families who have a history of substance use, mental illness, chronic homelessness, and/or HIV/AIDS. Familiarity with psychotropic medications, expected outcomes and adverse side effects to report to the primary care physician or psychiatrist. Must have exceptional communication skills both orally and in writing regarding complex and sensitive issues or regulations. The physical ability to perform the essential job functions are needed. In addition the Director of Clinical Services shall perform any duties as required to meet the needs of the program and the clients we serve.
