·The AISC Steel Fabrication Production Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the structural steel fabrication processes in compliance with the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) standards. This role involves overseeing steel fabrication production ensuring adherence to quality and safety guidelines, and collaborating with other departments to achieve efficient and high-quality steel fabrication.

Responsibilities:

AISC Standard Compliance and Quality Assurance

· Ensure that all production processes strictly adhere to AISC standards and guidelines.

· Keep abreast of updates and changes to AISC codes and implement them into the production procedures.

· Provide training and guidance on AISC standards to ensure a skilled and knowledgeable workforce.

· Collaborate with quality assurance personnel to address any non-compliance issues promptly.

Production Planning and Execution

· Develop and implement production schedules to meet project deadlines while maintaining AISC quality standards.

Documentation and Reporting

· Maintain accurate records of fabrication processes and AISC compliance documentation.

· Provide regular reports to management on production progress and AISC adherence.

· Proactively monitor and record all maintenance requirements on equipment and shop machinery.

Machinery Maintenance and Inventory Analysis

· Clearly define the specifications of the shop materials needed, including size, quantity, quality standards, and any specific features required

· Regularly assess the current inventory to determine which materials are low in stock and need replenishment

· Keep detailed records of all material orders, including order confirmations, invoices, and delivery receipts. This documentation is crucial for accountability and auditing purposes.

· Establish a regular maintenance schedule for all machinery and equipment. This includes routine inspections, preventive maintenance tasks, and any necessary repairs.

· Maintain comprehensive records of each machine's maintenance history. This documentation helps in tracking the performance of the equipment, predicting potential issues, and planning for replacements or upgrades.

Health and Safety

· Be part of a safety committee that is in alignment with AISC and OSHA standards.

· Conduct regular safety training sessions for the production team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $27.00 per hour
