As a Behavior/Mental Health Technician, you will work closely with our clinical team to achieve the following:Run therapeutic and behavioral plans, and provide early intervention to increase social and self-management skillsProvide guidance on a range of developmental goals from communication, exercise and nutrition and academic skills to assist with school readinessSupport individuals with learning and maintaining personal skills such as: hygiene, grooming and/or toiletingTeach and model interpersonal and social skills to help individuals thrive in their communitiesProvide assistance using strategies to properly manage and redirect agitated or aggressive behaviorsQualifications of a Behavior/Mental Health Technician:Must meet qualifications required by the EIDBI benefit; continued education in related field (minimum of an AA degree obtained or enrolled in a Bachelor's program or higher) OR at least 2 years' of full time clinically supervised experience supporting individuals with various disabilities (can include CNA, PCA, nursing home, direct care, and/or daycare center experience).Must be minimum of 18 years of ageA compassionate approach with a reliable and responsible attitudeAn ability to connect with children with an ability to work with others to accomplish goalsExperience in human servicesSuccessful clearance of background checks We have meaningful work for you as a Behavior/Mental Health Technician with Northway Academy – come join our team!
