Position Title: EFDA (Expanded Functions Dental Assistant)

Job Overview:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, exceptional clinical skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality dental care. As an EFDA you will work closely with our dentists to provide chairside assistance, perform expanded functions duties, and ensure optimal patient care throughout their visit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Perform expanded functions duties, including but not limited to, placing and finishing restorations, taking impressions, and applying sealants
• Take and export PA and panographic x-rays
• Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and treatment areas
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment options
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Adhere to infection control and sterilization protocols
• Assist with front office duties as needed, including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information

Requirements:

• Active EFDA certification/license in Missouri
• Minimum of 1 years of experience working as an EFDA in a dental practice
• Proficiency in expanded functions duties, including restorative procedures and dental radiography
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to continuing education and staying updated on industry trends and best practices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
