Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain relationships with realtors, bank officers and the community at large in order to retain existing relationships and attract new business
- Completing accurate mortgage loan applications
- Counsel borrowers to understand the pros and cons of different loan products to determine which is best for them
- Communicating interest rates, rate lock information, and closing costs accurately with borrowers
- Collect and analyze prospective buyer income, assets and liabilities, background check, and loan application documents to determine creditworthiness
- Interact with customers, realtors, processors, and underwriters to ensure a smooth transaction
- Monitor the mortgage process to ensure all company and regulatory processes are adhered to
- Meet or exceed established production goals by maintaining an active pipeline
- Deal honestly and ethically with borrowers, partners and employees
- Performing weekly update calls on all pre-qualified, pre-approved, and in-process loans to all interested parties
Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of mortgage loan origination experience (preferred)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Loan Origination Software
- Knowledge of FHLMC, FNMA, FHA, USDA, Jumbo, VA and Non-QM
- Knowledge of Fixed-Rate, Adjustable-Rate, and Interest-Only loan terms
- Driven, motivated, self-starter with history of sales success
- Success in managing the entire mortgage process, from application to closing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Active MLO license through the NMLS
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
